Fall Release Wines from Stephenson Cellars
Wow! Where did this year go! And now it's that time again, Crush (as it was this year) is winding down and we are getting ready to release new wines.
We are excited about our two single vineyard Syrahs, one from the renown Patina Vineyard. Patina is a small five acre site that is dry-farmed, an unusual practice even for Walla Walla. Grower LeaAnn Hughes nurtures her grapes to exquisite perfection and works closely with her winemakers to ensure they have the best fruit possible. You'll have a chance to meet LeaAnn next weekend as we have invited her to be in our tasting room to talk about her growing philosophy and pour the 2008 Patina Syrah.
The second single vineyard Syrah is from our estate vineyard, Stellar, located in Milton-Freewater, right next door to a much more famous vineyard. The micro-climate of "the rocks" is evident in this wine - intense, peppery and assertive.

The 2008 Stellar Vineyard Syrah opens with heady aromas of spice, white pepper and smoke, combined with a powerful blast of ripe fruit. $45.00 at release/$60.00 after official release.
We will also be tasting 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon $32 and 2006 Merlot $30. We are down to less than one pallet of each, and they are both drinking beautifully.
Always a terrific value, our 2007 Red Blend $20 (90% Syrah, 5% Cab and 5% Merlot) was honored to receive Silver at the Northwest Wine Awards earlier this year.

If you are coming to Fall Release Weekend, the tasting room at 15. S Spokane Street will be open from 11-9PM Friday, Nov. 4 with an artist reception from 6-9PM. Catch us Saturday, Nov. 5 from 11-5PM and then Sunday, November 6 from 11-3ish.
